I’m sure many can relate to a time when they dumped and sorted through the metal gears, beams, and wheels of an Erector set and/or the small, colorful, plastic blocks of a LEGO set. It was always a fun experience!
David Graas’ Build your own Furniture Designs brings back those memories and makes me believe those old gears and blocks were revamped and given practicality for adults today to decorate their homes.

A mirror concept from the modular furniture system “Everything but the Manual” designed by David Graas
I question how much time and effort would be needed for each project but nonetheless it would make a great statement piece once configured. Its creativity and uniqueness gives it a more artistic feel separating it from traditional DIY home projects like those of Ana White’s.
It just goes to show that construction should always contain a hint of personal flare!
My only hope is that stepping on a modular left on the floor won’t be as painful as stepping on a lego. 😛
